About Hull Collaborative Academy Trust
Welcome to Hull Collaborative Academy Trust (HCAT)
We are delighted you’ve taken the time to learn more
about HCAT and our vibrant community of schools. We are a family of
16 academies located across Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of
Yorkshire, and North Yorkshire, united by a shared commitment to
collaboration, growth, and excellence.
Founded in 2013 by four high-performing Hull schools, HCAT
was built on a foundation of restorative practice, which continues to
shape every aspect of our Trust. This approach fosters strong relationships,
accountability, and a deep sense of belonging across our schools. It remains a
cornerstone of our culture and a key driver of our success.
Our schools serve diverse communities, and we work closely
with families to ensure every child is nurtured, supported, and inspired. We
are proud of our reputation for delivering ‘Quality First’ teaching, and
we strive to provide the best possible educational opportunities for all
pupils, regardless of the challenges they may face. Our ‘Children First’
ethos places young people at the heart of everything we do.
We also believe in the power of people. HCAT is committed to
identifying, nurturing, and harnessing the talents of staff at all levels.
Through high-quality CPD, school-to-school support, and
national ECT and leadership programmes, we invest in developing
exceptional educators and leaders who make a lasting impact.
Together, we are building a Trust where:
- Children
are academically ready, socially and emotionally secure,
and rich in character.
- Staff
are valued, supported, and empowered to lead change.
- Communities
are inclusive, collaborative, and aspirational.
Thank you for your interest in HCAT. We look forward to growing, learning, and leading together.
Our Vision
Empowering change-makers to create a better world
At HCAT, our vision is to inspire and equip every member of our community—children, staff, and families—to become confident, compassionate, and capable individuals who make a positive difference in the world. This vision is brought to life through our shared values and strategic pillars, known as the HCAT Signature.
The HCAT Signature
The HCAT Signature defines the principles and behaviours that underpin our culture and guide how we work, learn, and grow together. It is the foundation of our Trust’s ethos and is embedded in every aspect of school life.
