About The Marvell College

WELCOME TO THE MARVELL COLLEGE

At The Marvell College, we are committed to providing the best education possible for the young people in our care. We are extremely proud to serve our community and have a committed body of staff who strive to go the extra mile for the pupils in our care. We seek to live out our school motto that those in our care are, and can be, "As good as anyone, anywhere" and ensure our school values of "Ambition, Respect and Courage" permeate all that we do. The school is oversubscribed every year and staff turnover is very low.

The Marvell College continues to go from strength to strength. This was confirmed by another strong "Good" Ofsted report in July 2025.
What Ofsted say about our school:
“This is an inclusive, caring and friendly school. Leaders are ambitious for the pupils.”
“Staff have high expectations for pupils. Pupils behave well in classrooms and on corridors.”
“Leaders have created a culture where positive relationships are important. As a result, pupils are courteous and respectful to staff and to each other.”
“Staff are proud to work at The Marvell College. Leaders take care to ensure that staff workload and well-being constitute a high priority.”
“There is a collective will to succeed and a determination that The Marvell College continues to improve.”

At The Marvell College, we have excellent pupils, supportive parents, and brilliant staff.  This creates an environment where everyone can learn, grow and flourish.  We prioritise the following areas which are key to success:
regular attendance to school
- rewarding positive engagement with lessons and wider school life
- restorative practice

We have a clear strategic vision and continuously seek improvement.  This includes working collaboratively with many external agencies, other schools and trusts.  We welcome visitors to The Marvell College to see what we do and to share best practice or ideas.
