I’m delighted to welcome you to the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust (ODST). The Trust was founded in 2012 and has now grown into a large family serving thousands of pupils and their families and communities.
About us? We support schools across Oxfordshire and Berkshire, from urban areas to leafy villages. All our schools contain some aspect of the primary phase and our schools vary from 59 to 450 pupils. We believe that an ODST school is a special place, one which values its individual identity (much decision-making is made at school level) and serves its local community, and we want every person in our schools to know that they are uniquely valuable.
What we aspire to? Relationships are important within ODST, relationships within schools, between our schools (in hubs and within their existing networks) and relationships between the central team and those serving within our schools. Working collaboratively, we can ensure our schools get better together and that our pupils thrive, and not just academically. We strive for everyone within our schools to ‘value who they are, and who they can become’.
What we can offer you? The best advocates for ODST are those already working for us so please seek out feedback! You will find though that in addition to the usual benefits of working in education, we have a broad range of learning opportunities available to support and teaching staff alike, and from September 2024 we have rolled out a review programme across all our schools called 'Growing Great People' which is focussed on professional development.
