About North Star Community Trust Ltd

North Star Community Trust is a family of academies in North London. We run one secondary academy and sixth form, three primary academies, two nurseries and a stay & play provision, supporting around 2,600 children and young people aged 2 to 18.

We are proud of the journey we have shared - defined by dedication, collaboration and a clear focus on the children we serve. Together, we have turned aspirations into achievement, extended our impact beyond the classroom and built a community where every young person can flourish.

We work in communities where academies matter deeply. Our staff know that education can change the choices, confidence and opportunities children have in later life. That is why we take our work seriously — and why we invest in people who want to make a difference.

Our academies each have their own identity, history and community. We do not aim for every academy to feel the same. Instead, we are united by a shared belief that we are stronger together when we work together, share expertise and support one another.

Our Trust mission

Education — giving children high-quality teaching and the support they need to succeed.

Community — working with families and local communities so children feel known, safe and supported.

Opportunity — helping children grow in confidence, discover their strengths and prepare for the future.

Why join us?

Working in education is demanding, but it is also deeply meaningful. At North Star Community Trust, you will be part of an organisation that values the contribution of every member of staff — whether you work in a classroom, an office, a kitchen, a nursery, a central team or a leadership role.

We want staff to feel supported and to continue developing. Colleagues have access to Trust-wide professional development, career progression opportunities and leadership pathways. Our People Plan is designed to help staff grow with confidence, not just move from one role to the next.

We also know that people do their best work when they feel respected, listened to and supported. Staff wellbeing is important to us and we continue to build a culture where teamwork, balance and professional support matter.

If you join North Star Community Trust, you will become part of a group of academies where the work has real purpose. You will be helping children and families every day, while building your own career in a Trust that wants its staff to grow.

Award-winning work

North Star Community Trust was named Multi Academy Trust of the Year 2024. This recognition matters to us because it reflects the work of staff across the Trust. It recognises the progress we have made together, the strength of our shared work and our commitment to giving pupils the best possible education and support. We are proud of this award, but we also know that our work is never finished. We want to keep improving, keep learning and keep building academies where pupils and staff can thrive.

Our Central Teams

Our central teams play an important role in making sure our academies are well supported. Colleagues in Finance, HR, IT, Safeguarding, Facilities, Catering and other specialist areas work closely with the academies so that senior leaders and staff can focus on pupils, families, teaching and learning.  These roles may not always be front-facing in the classroom, but they make a real difference. Strong central support helps our academies run well, solve problems quickly and give staff, pupils and families a better experience. If you work in one of our central teams, you are part of the same mission.

Help us with our mission

North Star Community Trust is an educational charity with a clear purpose: to help as many children as possible succeed at school and in life. That mission belongs to everyone who works here. Teachers, support staff, nursery practitioners, leaders, administrators, site teams, catering staff and central team colleagues all play a part.

We are looking for people who care about children, take pride in their work and want to contribute to something bigger than their own role. If that sounds like you, North Star Community Trust could be a place where you can do meaningful work and continue to grow.
