About Chester Diocesan Academies Trust

CDAT was established by the Chester Diocesan Board of Education in 2014. Since our inception, we have developed our vision to build thriving learning communities that provide everyone with the opportunity to achieve the very best with their gifts and abilities.

Children are at the heart of CDAT. We want each individual to develop knowledge, skills, understanding and wisdom, underpinned by values based on principles that are important to people of all faiths and no faith.

Jesus said, 'I have come in order that you might have life, life in all its fullness.' (John 10:10)

CDAT wants every child to experience 'life in all its fullness': to have outstanding learning opportunities; opportunities to act, sing, dance, play sport and be artistic; opportunities to make lifelong friendships, help those in need and become full and rounded individuals; opportunities to develop and pursue ambitions. In short, we want the very best for all of our children.

At CDAT, we believe that "life in all its fullness" applies as much to our staff as it does to our pupils. As a growing family of both church and community schools across the Diocese of Chester, our mission is to provide an outstanding education rooted in a supportive, inclusive, and nurturing Christian ethos.

Why Join the CDAT Family?

We recognise that our greatest asset is our people. When you join a CDAT school, you are not just joining an individual academy; you are becoming part of a collaborative network of professionals dedicated to excellence. Our commitment to your professional journey includes:

  • Tailored CPD: We offer a robust Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme that evolves to meet the needs of our staff. From National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) to bespoke training in Early Years and SEND, we invest in your growth at every career stage.
  • A Culture of Collaboration: We actively encourage our schools to work together. Through our clusters and Trust-wide networks, staff regularly share best practices, resources, and innovative ideas to drive school improvement together.
  • Career Progression: Our size and diversity provide a unique landscape for career development. We champion internal talent and provide opportunities for staff to gain experience across different school settings within the Trust.
  • Supportive Leadership: Our central team and school leaders are dedicated to creating a working environment where staff feel valued, heard, and empowered to make a real difference.

We are looking for passionate, dedicated individuals who share our vision of delivering high-quality education in a caring environment. Explore our current vacancies and discover how you can flourish within the Chester Diocesan Academies Trust.
