Trainee Educational Psychologist (Year 2 )

Start Date: 18 August 2025
End Date: 18 August 2027 (for Year 2 TEPs) and 18 August 2026 (for Year 3 TEPs)
Location: Predominantly Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland
Bases: Mowmacre Hill Primary School (Leicester), Home and NSPCC Training Centre (Leicester)
Full time will be based on 37 hours per week and Monday -Friday 09:00-17:00
We welcome applications from highly motivated and skilful trainee educational psychologists (TEPs) entering their second or third year of doctoral training in September 2024 who have a strong desire to live and work in or around Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland. Our EPs have considerable experience in supporting TEPs to become fully qualified educational psychologists. As a TEP with EPIC Psychology & Wellbeing Service you will experience a range of activities in a supportive environment to develop your skills including those relating to assessment, consultation, project work and training.
Our team can give you an excellent start to your career in educational psychology, with exciting opportunities to develop and progress. This post is considered full time, incorporating university studies and attendance whilst undertaking all tasks as required of a TEP on placement.
Applicants must already be in year one, or two, of a recognised EP professional doctorate training course and be eligible for HCPC registration in the UK on completion. All our educational psychologists work at the
heart of the community, in a cluster of schools and settings, applying
creativity and psychological expertise to promote inclusion for children and
young people from birth to 25 years of age.
