About this Role

Academy Receptionist / Administration Assistant - Required as soon as possible.

Term-time Plus 5 days during the holidays 37 hours per week. 39 weeks per year.

Salary: NJC Grade 4 - £25,185 - £25,583 FTE, pro rata to term-time working

(£21,634- £21,976 payable)

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive School Receptionist / Administration Assistant to be the welcoming face of Cloughwood Academy. This vital front-of-house role ensures the smooth running of daily visitor and contractor management, safeguarding compliance, and supports key administrative functions. Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors and contractors, ensuring they are signed in and comply with safeguarding protocols

• Manage home-to-school transport arrangements for our pupils

• Handle ordering and inventory of ink for school reprographics

• Maintain and update student registers accurately

• Provide general administrative support to the busy school office team

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in a reception or administrative role, ideally within an educational setting would be beneficial but not essential.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately

• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and commitment to compliance

• Competence in basic IT and office equipment use
