About this Role
Wise Owl Trust is a fast-paced, innovative educational trust dedicated to providing outstanding learning experiences. Now a family of five schools, our academies include Old Hall Drive Academy in Gorton, Seymour
Road Academy in Clayton, Briscoe Lane Academy in Newton Heath, Park View in Miles Platting and Peel Hall Primary in Wythenshawe.
Our motto is simple: Together, everyone achieves more. We pride ourselves on our inclusive, forward-thinking approach, aiming to give every child the opportunity to thrive.
This is more than just a job – it's an opportunity to begin an exciting career in SEND. Have you ever thought about becoming a qualified SENDCo but aren't sure where to start? Are you passionate about making a difference to children with additional needs and keen to learn from experienced professionals?
At Wise Owl
Trust, we are committed to developing future leaders. This role has been
designed as a genuine pathway into SEND leadership. You will work alongside an
experienced Trust SENDCo, benefiting from high-quality coaching, mentoring and
professional development while gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
As your
knowledge, confidence and expertise grow, there will be opportunities to
develop in the role, supporting SEND provision across our family of schools and
building the skills needed to become a SENDCo in your own right.
The
role will involve working closely with the Trust SENDCo, Senior Leadership
Team, pupils, families and external agencies to ensure children with additional
needs receive effective support and provision. The postholder will assist with
SEND administration, assessment processes, EHCPs, pupil profiles and
intervention monitoring, while also providing direct support to pupils through
targeted interventions and inclusive classroom practice.
A key part of
the role will be developing strong relationships with families, providing
guidance and support around SEND, attendance, wellbeing and access to services.
The successful candidate will contribute to Early Help processes, safeguarding
procedures and multi-agency working, helping to remove barriers to learning and
improve outcomes for children and their families.
The successful candidate must meet the requirements of the person specification and as we are an Academy who is committed to safeguarding our children, the position will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
If you're ambitious, eager to learn and ready to develop your career whilst making a real difference to children's lives, we'd love to hear from you.
