1 :1 Teaching Assistant
Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit a part-time 1 :1 Teaching Assistant to support a named child on a 1:1 basis, based at Milton on Stour Primary School. The appointment will be fixed-term due to funding for a named child and the contract will end when he/she leaves Milton on Stour Primary School or no longer needs support.
Hours:
Hours: 28.75 hours per week, 8.45am to 12.15pm and 1.15pm to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, 38.2 weeks per year (term time plus one agreed inset day per year).
Salary range:
Salary range: Salary Dorset Grade 5, Point 5 - £23,500 pro rata, per annum (actual salary £15,454 per annum).

Milton -on Stour Primary School is set in the beautiful North Dorset countryside, just outside the town of Gillingham. The school is a five class Church of England Primary school with mixed age classes and lies adjacent to the St Jude and St Simon Church.At Milton our core values are love, hope and joy and our Christian ethos is underpinned by the story of The Good Shepherd. We are looking to appoint a committed and flexible teaching assistant, to support named children on a 1:1 basis. Experience in Early Years and KS1 desired. The successful candidate will need to be sympathetic to, and understanding of, children’s special educational needs and be committed to supporting children in both their learning, behaviour and social situations. You will be supported by a class teacher and wider team in the role of Teaching Assistant.
Duties will include:
The jobholder must demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This will involve undertaking annual Safeguard training and using school reporting systems for any Safeguard concerns.
