Working at Milton on Stour Primary School is an opportunity to be part of an inspiring, unique, vibrant, and inclusive community. We currently employ around 20 people who work together to maintain and develop our very friendly and good School.

Milton on  Stour Church of England Primary School is situated in a beautiful North Dorset village just outside the town of Gillingham. Our school is made up of 5 mixed aged classes, with an admission number of 20 each year. We are located next to the Church of St Simon and St Jude and we have strong links with our church and community.

Our children enjoy coming to school and are eager to learn, our school curriculum is based on the core values of Love, Hope and Joy and and our Christian ethos is underpinned by the story of The Good Shepherd. Our school prides itself on a curriculum that is text rich and offers experiential learning, with embracing diversity, developing character skills and assured oracy at the heart of what we do

We have the most beautiful grounds where children get the opportunity to learn how things grow, to appreciate the world around us and to explore and flourish in the outdoors. Our grounds include adventurous play equipment, a forest area, a firepit and outdoor pizza oven, a woodland area, ponds and an outdoor amphitheatre.

Milton on Stour Primary School joined Pickwick Academy Trust in February 2024 and strongly believes in collaboration and sharing of best practice to enable our children to flourish in their school and their community.
