We are looking to recruit a resilient Teacher, with a passion for Art, to be part of the next stages in our improvement journey.
We are proud to share that our recent Ofsted inspection rated us as 'Good' across all key areas and shows our commitment to supporting staff "ensuring high morale, strong teamwork, and a culture of mutual care and respect."
This is a great opportunity for an
experienced teacher looking to move into an optimistic and motivating
environment, supported by effective leadership at all levels. As a key member of the teaching team, you
will ensure high standards of teaching and learning are delivered to our
students, offering a nurturing and topic-based curriculum, to ensure that they
are able to access learning
Successful applicants will be qualified
teachers with demonstrable experience of raising expectations and attainment in
the classroom. You will hold a deep passion for transforming the lives of young
people and have an understanding of inclusive practices to support students experiencing Emotional, Behavioural and Social Difficulties. Applications from
candidates with primary training and experience with SEMH are particularly
welcomed.
Hamilton School is an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental
Health) Special School in Reading educating up to 64 students with Education,
Health Care Plans (EHCP). Our mission is to recognise each and every one of
our students as individuals, and to nurture their potential, developing the
whole child through a therapeutic approach. This means that you would have to be
a resilient character who is able to remain positive when dealing with
challenging behaviour. The school is proud to have
recently opened its doors to a state-of-the-art building with wonderful new
facilities for both pupils and staff.
In January 2020 Hamilton School joined the Maiden
Erlegh Trust family of schools, whose motto is “Aim High, Be Inclusive, Work Together”. The aim for every
school in the Trust, whilst espousing their values and ethos, and having a core
of common policies and procedures, will serve its own community’s needs in a
bespoke way and also create a feeling of community within its own school. In
that way all the potential and talents of every child and every member of staff
will be nurtured.
Being
part of the Maiden Erlegh Trust also offers a range of career opportunities
across our schools. For our teaching team we offer a flexible CPD
programme which staff can tailor to their own needs which includes coaching and
training for new entrants to the profession and to support career returners.
We have
a proven track record of supporting ambitious staff in to middle and senior
leadership posts and can offer opportunities to broaden your impact on the
sector through the work of the Maiden Erlegh Institute. We are very happy
to discuss flexible working arrangements, including part-time working and
job-sharing
If you would like
to have an informal chat with the hiring manager or visit the school, please
email our recruitment team on recruitment@maidenerleghtrust.org
who can help organise this.
The Trust reserves the right to interview and appoint
before the closing date.
