About the role
Alderman Cogan’s Church of England Primary
Academy are looking to recruit a dedicated Wrap Around Care Lead , this role is
for 25 hours a week to be worked during the school term time, the hours are as
follows, Monday – Friday 7.15am – 9.00am and 3.00pm – 6.15pm. This is a fixed term position until 31/08/2025 in the first instance.
This is an opportunity to be part of our small, friendly
team who play a key role in our school. The main purpose of the role is to look
after and interact with the children during our Out of School Club. You will
lead team members to organise and deliver activities that engage and encourage
children to play and build friendships. You will manage behaviour and help
children to resolve conflict following our behaviour code. The successful
candidate would be expected to be first aid trained (or willing to go on a
first aid course).
The job requirements
To be successful for this role you will have at least a
Level 3 qualification in childcare with a good knowledge of child development
and playwork.
You will have knowledge, understanding and skills in
relation to the care and learning of children in an after school club settings,
a good understanding of Ofsted standards is also highly desirable.
You will ensure that the club provides high-quality
childcare, within a positive, safe and happy environment while adhering to the
club’s policies. You will be responsible for the planning and preparation of
activities and the completion of all relevant paperwork and administration.
You will be a strong leader who inspires and motivates the
team, encouraging them to provide the highest quality of care and support to
the children during their time within the club.
