About this Role

  • Hours of work: 30
  • Working pattern: Mon-Friday
  • Term weeks: 38 + 2 weeks school closure, minimum paid week 45.797
  • Contract type: fixed term until 31st August 26 with a potential to become a permanent job.

Although the job title is 'Administrator’, this does not really cover the role accurately. You will need to be superb at multi-tasking, adept at prioritising & someone that does not mind interruptions and dealing with matters as they arise at short notice to support the children, staff or parents, whilst answering the phone, ordering lunch & writing a school newsletter. If this does not faze you and you are willing to go above and beyond, then this is the job for you!

As a School Administrator you will be working at the heart of our school.  You are essential for good communication and relationships with all our stakeholders; being a people person and good communicator is essential, whilst maintaining professionalism and upholding the school’s values.

Experience of working in a school office and knowledge of packages like Arbor is desirable but not essential. You will need a good telephone manner, proficient ICT skills and excellent English language, spelling and grammar.

In return we can offer:

  • A people first approach, ensuring that you feel part of our community
  • Enhanced opportunities for collaborative working as part of a dynamic and highly successful Multi Academy Trust
  • Excellent career and CPD opportunities
  • A commitment to constantly review and improve our family friendly policies and look for new and innovative way to aid and support our staff in achieving a healthy work/life balance
  • Employee benefits package

If you have the qualities we require, along with the passion and aspirations to contribute to the success of the School and the MAT, we urge you to hit the "Apply" button.

Cumbria Education Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Enhanced DBS disclosure and Barred List checks are required for this post. You should not apply if you are on the Children’s Barred List. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, online searches are carried out on successful candidates.
