Actual annual salary if working 32 hours per week TTO 38 weeks + 5 INSET Days = £18,072 also SEN Allowance payable after 1 years service (£1,401 per annum pro rata). N.B The actual annual salary amount will be less if working less than 32 hours per work

The Mendip School are seeking to appoint hard working, resilient and dedicated teaching assistants to work with our children aged 4-19 with a diagnosis of Autism and/or Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
The post holders’ responsibilities include providing general classroom support, meeting pupils’ emotional, social and physical needs, supporting behaviour and liaising with teaching staff in the development and delivery of a differentiated curriculum.
We would encourage anyone with special school or mainstream experience to apply although full training will be given to the right candidates. We are looking for candidates who have the ability to;

Pupils who are accessing a more formal curriculum across all subject areas as well as developing the holistic needs of each child
Supporting other areas of the school where appropriate
