About this Role

As Assistant Head Teacher – SEND Leader, you will:

· Lead and strategically develop SEND provision, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and pastoral care for all pupils with additional needs.

· Oversee the Resource Base (RB), ensuring that pupils with ASC receive specialist support and an inclusive, aspirational curriculum.

· Be the school’s SENCO, leading on EHCP processes, intervention strategies, and multi-agency working with external specialists such as Speech and Language Therapists and Educational Psychologist.

· Provide high-quality training and professional development for staff on inclusive teaching strategies and SEND best practice.

· Be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to whole-school improvement and safeguarding as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).

· Work closely with parents and carers, fostering strong relationships to support pupil progress and well-being.
