About this Role

We are looking for a dynamic, well organised and creative SENDCO to work across two schools within the Pope Francis MAC.

We envisage the ideal candidate to be one who can blend expert subject knowledge with the ability to build strong, positive, relationships with families, staff, and external organisations.

The successful candidate will be based at St John Fisher in Littlemore (2.5 days) and St Joseph’s in Carterton (1.5 days) with flexibility over choice of days.

Within the PFMAC we have an Inclusion Lead who is available to support, and a strong working relationship with the other schools where expertise is shared regularly.

We want someone who has long term commitment to the role, ensuring stability in our leadership teams.

We welcome experienced candidates and those wishing to study for their NPQ alongside the role.

The successful applicant should have:

  • An unwavering commitment to inclusion and success for all pupils
  • An enthusiastic, ‘can do’ attitude
  • Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the wide needs of pupils in a Primary setting
  • Fantastic organisational skills and the ability to manage a diverse case load
  • An ability to stay calm under pressure and understand how to manoeuvre through difficult conversations
  • A warm, caring personality with a commitment to modelling our Catholic virtues and ethos
  • The ability to develop strong working relationships across the whole school community and with external agencies

In return, we can offer you:

  • A warm, friendly school which thrives on mutual care and respect.
  • Trust and freedom as a professional to lead in your areas of expertise
  • A supportive MAC who allow for schools to make their own decisions and back them
  • Welcoming, enthusiastic, and well- behaved children who love their school and enjoy learning
  • A dedicated, friendly, and supportive staff team
  • A caring, inclusive, Catholic ethos
  • Support for your professional development and well-being
  • A close working partnership between the Church, parents and the local community
  •  Active governors who are committed to their roles as strategic leaders
