We are proud to be ranked in the top 5% of schools nationally and to have received a national Silver Award for Primary School of the Year.

About the role

As our After School Care Leader, you will lead a safe, welcoming and engaging After School Care provision where children can learn, play and thrive beyond the school day. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the provision, supervise staff, deliver stimulating activities, promote positive behaviour and ensure the highest standards of safeguarding and care.

Working closely with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues, you will help create a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported and inspired.

Employees will be expected to undertake any reasonable duties of a similar level and responsibility, as requested by their line manager or the senior leadership team. Following consultation, this job description may be amended to reflect changes appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the post.

What we are looking for

We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual who is passionate about creating a safe, fun and inclusive environment where children can thrive. You'll have experience working with primary-aged children in a school, childcare or play setting, with the confidence to plan engaging activities, promote positive behaviour and support pupils with a wide range of needs.

You'll be an excellent communicator who builds positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues, while demonstrating a strong commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing. A relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (or willingness to work towards one), GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above), and a willingness to undertake Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene training are essential.

Most importantly, you'll share our values, be a positive role model and bring energy, creativity and a genuine commitment to helping every child feel safe, valued and inspired every day.

We are committed to being a supportive, caring and rewarding place to work and learn, and to being an employer of choice. A full overview of our offer, including staff benefits, our People Plan and what our staff say about working with us, can be found in the supporting documents attached.
