We cater for pupils between the ages of 2 and 19 with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, on specialist sites and mainstream partnership schools.
The main purpose of the role is to
work within a class team under the direction of the class teacher, usually in
the classroom to support learning; provide general support to the teacher in
the management of pupils and the classroom and support the pupils to meet their
personal needs. This is an excellent opportunity to experience working within
specialist provision. We will offer you professional development opportunities
and a very supportive team of staff. It is also an excellent opportunity as a
stepping-stone into teaching.
West SILC is wholly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointments are made subject to a DBS. If you are interested in applying, please complete an application form, explaining how your skills and experiences would help you succeed in this role at West SILC.
