Downe House is a leading independent boarding and day school for girls aged 11-18, located in the village of Cold Ash, just outside Newbury in Berkshire. Our aim is to provide pupils with a wealth of academic, pastoral and co-curricular opportunities to allow them to grow into confident young women.

We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our Marketing team. If you enjoy writing, generating ideas and bringing projects to life, this could be an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.

In this varied role, you will work closely with academic, boarding and operational departments across the School to research and produce engaging content that raises the profile of Downe House across a range of communication channels, including newsletters, printed and digital publications, press releases and social media.

You will also support the planning and promotion of key school events, including our annual Academic Conference and Discover Teaching event. This will involve communicating with delegates and assisting with all aspects of event coordination to ensure arrangements run smoothly and professionally.

You will be part of a nurturing and supportive but busy and thriving school, where everyone is encouraged to get fully involved in school life.  We have Graduate roles in other departments, so you will not be alone

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation for a career in marketing and communications within a thriving and forward-thinking school community.

We offer a range of benefits including:

              • Generous pension scheme (9% employer contribution)
              • Life Insurance and Critical Illness Cover
              • Regular opportunities for professional development
              • Supportive induction programme
              • Delicious free meals and on-site parking
              • Modern gym and swimming pool facilities
              • A beautiful working environment in a semi-rural location
