Executive Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to our school, a place that I am very proud to lead as Executive Head. The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future.

At Worsbrough Common, we believe that children should be curious about their learning.  Through our engaging curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We believe in ensuring that children receive a well-rounded curriculum; where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children experience success and reach their full potential. We do our best to help each child find their strengths and talents so that they will flourish and be challenged.

As a school community we endeavour to provide a calm and stimulating environment where good behaviour and mutual respect is modelled by everyone and where everyone is valued.

We work with families to ensure that all children achieve their potential across our diverse community, having relentlessly high expectations of ourselves and others. We offer our children a vast range of opportunities to light the spark of their learning, giving them the skills and tools they need to take off and fly!

Together we work to develop a respectful, responsible and resilient community. We aim to empower articulate. confident and independent individuals who have the skills and are ready for life long learning.

I am so privileged and proud to be the Head of School at Worsbrough Common Primary School.

WCPS is a very special place where we pride ourselves on giving children the very best. We are at the heart of our community and are a happy, caring and inclusive school. We work very closely with parents and carers and value the importance of the partnership we have with them as we aim to foster a lifelong love of learning in all of our children. We aim high for all of our children, we believe in them and empower them to be the best they can be!

We are passionate about giving children the very best experiences and make a promise to our children and families to provide them with a wide range of amazing opportunities and real life experiences throughout their time with us in order to inspire them to have the highest aspirations for themselves.
We are committed to our vision of developing a respectful, responsible and resilient community and through our carefully designed curriculum we aim to empower articulate, confident and independent individuals who have to skills and are ready for lifelong learning.
