Message from the Headteacher

I am honoured and delighted to be the Headteacher at The Royal Liberty School.  We are very proud of our school and our students and what we achieve.  

Royal Liberty School, one the schools in the Success For All Educational Trust is a small comprehensive, 11-16 school for boys, located in Gidea Park. The school has a very rich history and we celebrated the school's centennial in 2021. The school building is stunning and has a truly unique character.  

I believe that an excellent education will change your son’s life and make the local community a stronger, safer place to live for the generations of the future.  Students feel safe here and experience a calm and respectful environment in which to learn and develop.  

We have exceptionally high standards in all aspects of school life, including behaviour.  Students are expected to be respectful and well mannered.  ‘Pupils are well behaved, respectful and courteous’ Ofsted 2019.

Success means different things to everyone, but for me, success is students achieving the very best they are capable of and experiencing opportunities they may not have been able to have had.

As a relatively small secondary school, we believe that we have the opportunity to know each of our students as individuals. Respect for other people is one of our core values and this contributes to a strong school community. Students here are encouraged to take on leadership roles and responsibilities from an early age. We have a strong programme of extra-curricular activities and expect our students to make a positive contribution to school life.

With recent examination results above the national average and good Ofsted reports, we offer an excellent education for boys of all interests and abilities.
