A very warm welcome to St Budeaux Foundation C of E School.

St Budeaux Foundation School is a friendly school community with a family atmosphere. We are one of the oldest schools in Plymouth if not the oldest and are proud to be a fully inclusive school, welcoming all faiths and backgrounds.

Situated on the outskirts of Plymouth close to the River Tamar, our dedicated staff work hard to provide a positive and stimulating place to learn, giving our children inspiring learning opportunities enabling them to thrive both academically and in their personal development; leaving our school with strength of character and the tools they need to reach their goals and become valued members of society.

The life of the school is driven by enthusiasm, ambition and determination whilst being mindful of our Christian values of love, forgiveness, respect and joy.

We believe a positive partnership between home and school is essential. Building strong relationships with parents and the community is of great importance. Working together to help the children to be the best they can be. You are your child’s first educators and we aim to build on their skills and experiences when they join us. We hope you continue to enjoy taking an active and positive interest in what your child is doing at school. There are many ways for you to get involved in school life, for example through our Friends of St Budeaux, or as a helper in school.

We are currently on an exciting journey of change. In July 2022, our school joined the First Federation Trust, a successful multi-academy trust of primary schools across the southwest. One combined set of leaders and governors guide all of our schools.

Becoming a Primary setting from September 2023 will enable us to share our school community with children from the age of two years old. To start, our brand new Early Years and Foundation stage classes will provide another vibrant and stimulating place of learning to begin your child’s journey through education.
