About Queens Road Academy
Our School Vision
Be Kind, Aim High, Discover. Building a school where kindness underpins all relationships, ambition fuels every learner, and curiosity sparks meaningful discovery.
Executive Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome to our school, a place that I am very proud to lead as Executive Head. The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future.
At Queens Road, we believe that children should be curious about their learning. Through our engaging curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We believe in ensuring that children receive a well-rounded curriculum; where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children experience success and reach their full potential. We do our best to help each child find their strengths and talents so that they will flourish and be challenged.
As a school community we endeavour to provide a calm and stimulating environment where good behaviour and mutual respect is modelled by everyone and where everyone is valued.
We work with families to ensure that all children achieve their potential across our diverse community, having relentlessly high expectations of ourselves and others. We offer our children a vast range of opportunities to light the spark of their learning, giving them the skills and tools they need to take off and fly!
Together we work to develop a respectful, responsible and resilient community. We aim to empower articulate. confident and independent individuals who have the skills and are ready for life long learning.
Thank you
Rebecca Paddock - Executive Headteacher
Head of School's Welcome
Welcome to Queens Road Academy. It is a privilege to be a part of this wonderful, diverse community, and I hope that by visiting us you will get a sense of who we are and what we do at this vibrant and inclusive school.
Our approach to school life is encapsulated by our school vision, Be Kind, Aim High, Discover. Our aim is to create a school where where kindness underpins all relationships, ambition fuels every learner, and curiosity sparks meaningful discovery. Our daily mission is to develop our pupils academically and socially, helping them to acquire lifelong skills and become well-rounded, balanced individuals who are ready for modern life beyond the school gates.
We firmly believe in the value of pupil wellbeing and to this end place an emphasis on pastoral care and personal development.
Our curriculum is carefully planned, intentional, and aims to provide children with a breadth of knowledge that will serve them well in their daily lives and the next stage of their education.
As a school, we very much believe in the value of parent and school partnership; when we work together, our children will always benefit. The constructive input of parents is vital in ensuring the success of our community and we encourage you to get in touch with us for anything you might need.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.
