About Hoylandswaine Primary School

Executive Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to our school, a place that I am very proud to lead as Executive Head. The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future.

At Hoylandswaine, we believe that children should be curious about their learning.  Through our engaging curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We believe in ensuring that children receive a well-rounded curriculum; where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children experience success and reach their full potential. We do our best to help each child find their strengths and talents so that they will flourish and be challenged.

As a school community we endeavour to provide a calm and stimulating environment where good behaviour and mutual respect is modelled by everyone and where everyone is valued.

We work with families to ensure that all children achieve their potential across our community, having relentlessly high expectations of ourselves and others. We offer our children a vast range of opportunities to light the spark of their learning, giving them the skills and tools they need to take off and fly!

Thank you

Rebecca Paddock - Executive Headteacher

Head of School's Welcome

I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to you as the head of our small rural community primary school. It is an honour and a privilege to lead this wonderful school and work alongside our dedicated staff, talented students, and supportive parents.

At Hoylandswaine, we believe in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential. We understand the importance of strong partnerships between home and school, and we value your involvement in your child’s education.

Our dedicated team of teachers and support staff are committed to delivering high- quality teaching and learning experiences that inspire and engage our students. We strive to provide a broad and balanced curriculum, tailored to meet the needs and interests of each individual child. By fostering a love for learning, we aim to equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed academically and socially.

We believe that communication is key to a successful partnership between home and school. We will keep you informed about your child’s progress and achievements. We value your feedback and input, as it helps us continually improve and meet the needs of our students.

In addition to academic excellence, we also place great importance on the development of character and personal values. We aim to create a positive and respectful school culture where every child feels safe, valued, and supported. We promote creativity, collaboration, mindfulness and resilience and we encourage our students to become responsible and active members of our community.

I invite you to get involved in the life of our school. There are various opportunities for parents to volunteer, attend school events, and participate in workshops and parent forums.

I am excited about the journey ahead and the wonderful opportunities we have to shape the future of our children together. I look forward to working collaboratively with you to ensure the success and well-being of every child at our school.

Miss Redfearn - Head of School
