Executive Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to our school, a place that I am very proud to lead as Executive Head Teacher. The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future.

At Hoyland Common, we believe that children should be curious about their learning.  Through our engaging curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We believe in ensuring that children receive a well-rounded curriculum; where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children experience success and reach their full potential. We do our best to help each child find their strengths and talents so that they will flourish and be challenged.

As a school community we endeavour to provide a calm and stimulating environment where good behaviour and mutual respect is modelled by everyone and where everyone is valued.

We work with families to ensure that all children achieve their potential across our diverse community, having relentlessly high expectations of ourselves and others. We offer our children a vast range of opportunities to light the spark of their learning, giving them the skills and tools they need to take off and fly!

Together we work to develop a respectful, responsible and resilient community. We aim to empower articulate. confident and independent individuals who have the skills and are ready for life long learning.
