HMP Woodhill is a core local prison
currently housing both remand and sentenced prisoners of all categories. The
Education department works closely with prison colleagues to ensure the courses
delivered are relevant to the prisoners’ complex needs, rehabilitation and
resettlement.
Courses include: English and Maths
Functional Skills (Entry 1 – Level 2), ICT, Art, Music Technology, Food Safety,
Health and Safety and a wide range of personal and social development courses.
Vocational courses consist of Catering and Hospitality, Painting and Decorating
and Kitchen Fitting and Tiling.
Our department believes the opportunities
provided for our learners will help to address their offending behaviour and
give them the skills to enhance their lives and gain employment on release. We
encourage our learners to unlock and reach their potential.
