About Gatehouse Primary Academy

Gatehouse Primary Academy is a large, coastal school situated on the edge of the town, overlooking fields, with the beach and sea just 500 metres away. We aim to provide a caring, safe and stimulating environment for all children to learn. Each child is supported and encouraged to do their best and take part in a wide range of opportunities and experiences building happy memories of their school days. Our talented team of educators enjoy their work and the inspiring environment makes learning fun and raises standards.  

We are also fortunate to have an enviable amount of outside space which includes a large dedicated outdoor area for EYFS, multiple playground areas, a wildlife and pond area, our own growing garden for the children and a large forest school set in beautiful woodland.

Gatehouse Primary is part of First Federation Trust, a multi-academy of 29 primary schools across Plymouth, Devon and West Dorset.
