About Beacon Academy
We are delighted to welcome you to Beacon Academy, a
forward-thinking, inclusive and community-minded school with a sustained and
established reputation for academic excellence, outstanding pastoral care and
highly successful student development.
Set in the heart of Crowborough, Beacon Academy is a split site, rural, mixed 11-18 non-selective converter academy with approximately 1600 students, including, approximately, 300 students in our Sixth Form Centre at Green Lane. Beacon Academy draws students from over ten primary schools within our community area. We also attract students from Kent and from the independent sector. This generates our truly comprehensive intake, both in terms of ability and socio-economic background.
At Beacon Academy, we are ambitious for excellence in all we
do. Our
vision is to provide the best possible education for all our students
and to remain an exceptional educational establishment locally and nationally.
We are never complacent.
We were delighted to have our vision and support for our
young people, along with our exceptional outcomes for all of our students,
including our most disadvantaged and those with SEND, validated in an Outstanding judgment
in our latest Ofsted inspection in April 2024.
