About this Role

The Directors of The Bishop Wheeler Catholic Academy Trust are looking to appoint a Senior Estates Manager on a fixed term basis initially, to support the Head of Estates with the day-to-day management and administration of Estates matters, including capital projects and taking responsibility for managing the Trust Estate in the absence of the Head of Estates.  The Trust currently comprises of 16 schools, including 14 primary schools and 2 high schools and is expected to further increase to 18 schools.

This is an exciting, emerging role which would suit an experienced candidate looking to take their next career move.

You will have a strong understanding of facilities and compliance across multiple sites and be highly experienced in maintenance systems and compliance. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Health & Safety practices (IOSH, COSHH and Fire Safety) and demonstrable relevant experience.  Whilst experience of working within an education setting would be advantageous, this is not essential. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels is essential and be to build relationships and have a commitment to supporting the work of passionate education leaders.

You will join a friendly team of people within the shared services team based at the premises of St. Mary’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, Menston but frequently travelling around our schools across West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and Lancashire.  This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate looking for a challenge, who is willing to develop the role to provide an unparalleled level of service for our academies.
