About this Role

Speech and Language Therapist Degree Apprenticeship (Level 6)

Start date: September 2026

We are delighted to offer an opportunity to train as a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) through a fully funded Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship.

This four-year programme combines academic study with high-quality, work-based and clinical experience, enabling you to qualify as a Speech and Language Therapist while remaining in employment. Delivered in partnership with a university, the programme follows a hybrid model, supporting you to develop the knowledge, skills and professional expertise required for the role.

This apprenticeship reflects our commitment to developing talent from within and building a strong, sustainable workforce. Through this programme, we aim to:

  • Develop skilled SLTs who understand our learners, schools and communities

  • Increase access to professional training and remove barriers to qualification

  • Strengthen long-term workforce capacity, retention and succession planning

  • Create inclusive career pathways into specialist, registered professions

You will train across a range of settings, gaining valuable experience while contributing to improving outcomes for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is open to individuals who:

  • Are committed to training as a Speech and Language Therapist

  • Meet the entry requirements for the Level 6 apprenticeship (typically A Levels at ABB or equivalent (UCAS 112), GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, and a high standard of English language proficiency)

  • Are able to commit to the academic and practical demands of a four-year programme

For an informal discussion, please contact Amy Daniels, Director of Inclusion at adaniels@celtrust.org
