About this Role

Are you passionate about technology and eager to pursue a career in Educational IT? Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT) is seeking a motivated Senior IT Technician to join our dynamic team primarily based at Brannel school but with the ability to work on cross trust projects within any of the sixteen schools that we manage and support. 

As a Senior IT Technician, you will:

Provide support and training to staff across Cornwall Education Learning Trust.

Manage the rollout of new devices on school sites ( WiFi / InTune /Activ Directory)

Advanced Support SharePoint/OneDrive/O365 policies and security

Support the management of network infrastructure and security.

Managing the patching and updating of key systems via SCCM / Intune

Maintain accurate records of IT assets and support requests.

Oversight of day-to-day helpdesk use / management

Localised supervision of IT team staff members 

Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.

Contribute to cross trust collaboration projects

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

A strong interest in IT and technology.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent knowledge of networking, hardware, and software troubleshooting.

A minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.

This is a permanent contract, 37 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year.
