About this Role

Do you take pride in maintaining safe, secure, and welcoming environments? Are you practical, proactive, and ready to be part of something new and exciting? If so, we would love to hear from you.

Drakelow Park Flying High Academy is seeking a committed Site Manager to help ensure our brand-new school site is safe, secure, and well-maintained for all.

This role is 17 hours per week. We welcome applications from candidates wishing to work solely at Drakelow, as well as those interested in combining this role with a second Site Manager position at Foxbridge Primary School (20 hours). The roles may be appointed separately or combined into a single full-time role across both schools.

About Us

Drakelow Park Flying High Academy is a brand-new school opening in September 2026, serving a growing community. This is a unique opportunity to help establish and maintain a school environment from the very beginning.

Our vision is simple yet powerful: “Where every child belongs, excels and is championed.” We are committed to creating a nurturing, ambitious, and inclusive environment where children thrive and where staff feel valued and supported.

About Flying High

Flying High Partnership is a thriving multi-academy trust of 38 primary schools across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottingham City, and Nottinghamshire. We are driven by a shared vision to be unique, exceptional, and sustainable. Founded in 2012, we believe in the power of meaningful collaboration to help schools reach their full potential while supporting others along the way.

Our Partnership celebrates individuality, champions continuous improvement, and ensures every child thrives. With a strong focus on school-led professional development and leadership, we’re committed to growing exceptional teachers and inspirational leaders.

Together, we make every day count.

About the Role

As Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our brand-new school site is safe, secure, and maintained to a high standard. You will help establish strong systems and practices from the outset.

This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same.

For candidates interested in additional hours, this role can be combined with the Site Manager position at Foxbridge Primary School, creating a full-time role across both sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the safety, security, and condition of the school site
  • Carry out maintenance, repairs, and site inspections
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
  • Liaise with contractors and support the management of site works
  • Monitor site standards, cleanliness, and presentation
  • Support security procedures, including access and alarms
  • Assist with lettings and wider use of facilities

We Are Looking For

  • A practical individual with a proactive approach to site management
  • Someone who understands the importance of health and safety in a school environment
  • A reliable and organised professional who can work independently
  • A team player with strong communication skills
  • Someone flexible and adaptable, particularly in a new and growing school
  • A commitment to safeguarding and maintaining a secure environment

We Can Offer You

  • The opportunity to help shape a brand-new school environment
  • A supportive and collaborative team culture
  • Access to high-quality training and development opportunities
  • Support from a wider partnership network
  • Employee wellbeing and assistance programmes
  • The opportunity to make a real difference from day one

Application Details

Early application is encouraged, as we may interview and appoint before the closing date.
