Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Astrea Academy Sheffield Primary

Are you highly organised, approachable, and passionate about making a difference behind the scenes? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same?

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Administration Assistant to join our academy team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering a professional, efficient, and welcoming service to students, staff, and visitors.

About You

You are a friendly and reliable professional who enjoys being at the heart of a busy organisation. You take ownership of your work, stay calm under pressure, and have a keen eye for detail.

You’re someone who values organisation and efficiency, but also understands the importance of warmth and approachability, especially in a school environment. Whether greeting visitors or managing administrative tasks, you bring a positive, can-do attitude every day.

About the Role

As an Administration Assistant, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the academy. You’ll provide high-quality administrative support, act as a welcoming first point of contact, and help ensure that day-to-day operations run efficiently.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the academy, contributing to a professional and supportive environment where everything runs effectively behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the academy, ensuring systems and processes run smoothly
  • Act as a first point of contact for visitors, phone calls, and enquiries
  • Maintain accurate records and manage data in line with academy processes
  • Support attendance, communications, and general office coordination
  • Assist with the organisation of meetings and academy events
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role

What We Offer

  • A supportive and welcoming working environment
  • Opportunities for development and progression
  • A varied and engaging role where no two days are the same
  • The opportunity to make a positive contribution to the school community

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in an administrative role (school experience desirable but not essential)
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A professional and friendly approach
  • Good IT skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
