Thank you for your interest in Astrea Academy Sheffield, within the Primary phase. Astrea Academy Sheffield has been on an exciting journey as a newly opened free school in 2018 and continues to work hard to establish high quality teaching and learning throughout school and across all areas of the curriculum.

We have been growing a year group at a time and have now reached the stage where we have had our first Year 6 cohort in September 2024.

We were pleased to be recognised as a “Good” school by Ofsted in 2022. Astrea Academy Sheffield is an all through 3-18 Academy which operates over two separate sites. This position will be based purely in the Primary phase.

We are situated just north of Sheffield’s city centre, in Burngreave. The area has a high deprivation index and is culturally and linguistically very diverse. The school works very closely with its local community and we have supportive parents who attend and assist with school events. We are looking to strengthen our current team to continue to drive school improvement and strive for the best outcomes for all children.
