About this Role

Ridgeway Education Trust (RET) is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable IT Technician to join our established and supportive IT Services Team. The successful candidate will work across all Trust schools, providing daytoday IT support that helps ensure technology effectively supports teaching, learning, and school operations.

This is a varied, handson role involving direct support for staff and students, maintenance of IT equipment and systems, and collaboration with colleagues to ensure a responsive and highquality IT service is delivered across the Trust.

We are looking for an IT professional who:

  • Enjoys working as part of a committed and capable team

  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Is confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including school staff and students

  • Has a good foundation of IT knowledge and the ability to learn and support Trust systems effectively

Experience of working in an educational environment is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided.

A UK Driving License and access to a vehicle is highly desirable.

The position is permanent, full time, 37 hours per week, all year round (excluding bank holidays and personal holiday allocation).

Ridgeway Education Trust is committed to safeguarding, equality and promoting the welfare of children and expects staff working in all its schools to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS, references and pre-employment safeguarding checks.  The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining a post. All cases are considered confidentially and according to the nature of the role and information disclosed.

Please be aware that you will be required to bring proof of right to work in the UK and photographic ID, as applicable, to interview and online searches may be made for shortlisted candidates, as part of due diligence checks.
