Trust Careers Lead

Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 12 (points 36-40) Actual Salary £41,564-£45,242. 

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (Term time plus two weeks) 

We are proud to share we have an exciting opportunity to join our central team as theTrust Careers Lead. This strategic leadership role is responsible for setting the vision and direction of Careers Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG) across all secondary and special schools within Meridian Trust, while providing oversight for our primary phase. 


The Opportunity 

    • Lead the strategic development of a sequenced, impactful Trust-wide CEIAG framework. 
    • Provide professional guidance and support to Careers Leaders across the Trust. 
    • Work closely with the Executive Principals and Trustees to report on national developments and Gatsby Benchmark compliance. 
    • Act as the Trust’s lead for the Careers & Enterprise Company, Unifrog, and Complete Careers.
    • Utilise your Level 6 capability to provide independent careers guidance where required in trust schools. 
    • Lead on internal and external communication strategies and campaigns. 

 

The ideal candidate 

    • Holds a Level 6 accredited qualification in Career Guidance and Development and is eligible for the UK Register of Career Development Professionals. 
    • Has proven experience leading CEIAG within a school, local authority, or MAT environment.
    • Is proficient in using Compass+, familiar with Unifrog, and understands the process of gaining the Quality on Careers Mark    
    • Is confident in presenting to Senior Management and external partners, with the ability to coach and influence staff at all levels. 
    •  A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for all young people, particularly the disadvantaged.
