About this Role

Sikh Academies Trust, is a vibrant and inclusive Sikh ethos school community rooted in the values of Integrity, Service, Community, Learning and Innovation. We are seeking a dedicated, highly organised, and collaborative HR Officer to join our central team and help us maintain the highest standards of safer recruitment, compliance, and employee support.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process for Trust schools, from drafting advertisements to welcoming new hires.

  • Maintain and audit the Single Central Record to ensure 100% compliance with KCSIE guidelines and pre-employment checks.

  • Act as the primary contact for general HR queries, assist the HR Manager with casework and support line managers with wellbeing and performance cycles.

  • Maintain electronic staff records, contract variations, and track absences.

  • Structure and manage the HR team’s shared Google Drives, ensuring strict data security and GDPR compliance.

We are looking for someone with:

  • An experience within a UK school or Multi-Academy Trust.

  • A solid understanding of safer recruitment practices and UK employment laws.

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and well-being.

  • The discretion and empathy required to handle sensitive staff matters confidentially.

  • Deep understanding of Google Workspace.
