About this Role

We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our Trust-wide Team to provide high-quality, hands-on ICT support across all Pioneer Learning Trust Schools.

Working closely with the Trust ICT Services Manager, you will be the go-to technical point of contact—ensuring our hardware, software and networks run seamlessly to support both our pupils' learning and our staff's daily operations. From managing our IT Helpdesk and developing our Google Workspace environment to assisting with site safety systems (like CCTV and access control), this is a dynamic role where no two days are the same. You will also act as the technical point of contact for our website provider, overseeing platform health, managing access and performing routine technical maintenance to keep our digital presence running smoothly.

  • First-Line Support: Managing the IT Helpdesk, troubleshooting hardware/software queries, and providing hands-on, on-site technical support.
  • Website Management: Acting as the technical contact for the website provider and schools, checking and securing website compliance, performing platform maintenance and sourcing and managing the upload of content across the Trust.
  • Network & Asset Management: Assisting with network maintenance, software licensing, device security and keeping our ICT asset registers up to date.
  • Future Planning & Collaboration: Supporting the development of Google Workspace, researching new tech developments and finding opportunities for contract unification across schools.
  • Infrastructure & Security: Maintaining compliance with UK GDPR, deploying backup protocols and supporting site security systems like CCTV and key fob configurations.

If you are a collaborative team player with strong technical know-how, a flexible approach and a driving license to move between our school sites, we would love to hear from you!
