About this Role

‘No Borders, Just Horizons…’

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a dynamic and visionary leader to become both the Headteacher of Sir William Robertson Academy (SWRA) and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Aspire Schools Trust.

The dual role offers the chance to lead a thriving secondary school while shaping the strategic direction of a progressive and ambitious Trust. Aspire Schools Trust serves pupils aged 4 to 18 across its family of schools.

The Role

As Headteacher of SWRA, you will provide inspirational and hands-on leadership to one of the most sought-after schools in Lincolnshire. Set in the rural village of Welbourn, SWRA is an 11–18 non-selective school with a strong sense of community, excellent pastoral care, and a commitment to high aspirations for every pupil. The Academy’s ethos is rooted in the values of Involvement, Kindness, Responsibility, Creativity, Resilience, and Achievement.

As CEO of Aspire Schools Trust, you will take responsibility for the strategic leadership and growth of the Trust, ensuring all schools provide an outstanding education. Working closely with the Trust Board, Local Committees, and school leaders, you will embed collaboration and innovation to drive sustainable improvement. The Trust’s ethos is clear: children come first, and this drives high achievement, inclusivity, and excellence.

About You

We are seeking an exceptional leader who can:

Inspire and empower pupils, staff, and leaders to deliver excellence across the Trust.

Combine strategic vision with hands-on leadership of a vibrant secondary school.

Build on the strong foundations of SWRA, ensuring high aspirations and inclusivity for all pupils.

Foster collaboration and professional development across all Trust schools.

Drive sustainable improvement while preserving the unique identities of each school.

You will bring a proven track record of successful leadership, demonstrating the capacity to lead at both school and Trust levels. You will be an inspiring communicator with the ability to unite staff, pupils, parents, and trustees around a shared vision.
