Lighthouse Inclusion/Family Support Worker

Starting salary: £30,135

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks

The Blue Kite Trust has 25 primary schools in Swindon and Wiltshire and there are plans for further growth.  We have a new exciting job opportunity within our holistic early intervention team.  Lighthouse is the first step in the process of preventative provision, to enable children to reach their full potential emotionally and academically.  Alongside schools you will work directly with children and families, taking a lead role in providing support and advice in childhood development and positive parenting.    You will support school staff to help children to manage their emotions, behaviour and social skills, providing appropriate advice and support and overcoming barriers to learning.

Ideally, we are looking for a dedicated and supportive team member who has:

  • a relevant qualification or compensatory experience in Early Childhood Development / Behaviour Management or similar field.
  • previous experience of delivering Parent Programmes such as Family Links or similar.
  • previous relevant experience working in an education setting such as Family/Parent Support, mental health, teaching or school support.
  • Play therapy experience.
  • Child Counselling / therapy and speech and language experience.

If you feel you have what it takes to support our vision then we would like to hear from you. Full information about the role, how to apply and the recruitment process can be found within the job description and candidate pack.

Closing date: 20th July 2026

Interview date:  22nd July 2026
