Teacher – Nurture and PPA Cover

Join our team as a Teacher where you will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils in a nurturing provision, as well as providing effective PPA cover across the school.

The Role

As a Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver Tailored Learning: Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging lessons that support children with SEND/SEMH to achieve their academic, social, and personal goals.
  • Provide PPA Cover: Offer high-quality teaching across various classes, ensuring continuity and progress for all pupils.
  • Foster a Positive Environment: Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel confident and inspired to learn.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with the Head Teacher, SENCO, pastoral teams, and staff to develop inclusive practices and curriculum strategies.
  • Engage Parents and Stakeholders: Build positive relationships with parents and collaborate with external professionals to ensure the well-being and progress of pupils.

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach lessons tailored to individual pupil needs, ensuring a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum.
  • Use effective teaching methods to maintain pace, motivation, and challenge for all pupils.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to suit the learning styles and requirements of children with additional needs.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, ensuring accurate records and meaningful feedback.
  • Maintain high expectations of behavior and discipline, fostering mutual respect and positive relationships.
  • Support the personal, moral, and cultural development of pupils, preparing them for the real world.
  • Contribute to staff training and inclusive practices to benefit the wider school community.
