Bedford Inclusive Learning and Training Trust (BILTT) is thrilled to introduce Rivertree Free School, our newly built, state-of-the-art facility, which officially opened in February 2025.This school will join the others in our trust providing education to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. Our Academies, supported by the Trust, provide an environment which is welcoming, nurturing, calm, safe and purposeful. BILTT’s vision is to continue to develop a high performing SEND Multi Academy Trust that delivers the very best educational experiences for pupils regardless of their starting points.
As Rivertree Free School prepares to welcome an increasing pupil cohort in September 2025, we are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated teachers for EYFS, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, and Key Stage 3.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with children with special educational needs and can contribute to a collaborative team, sharing knowledge and best practices to improve pupil outcomes.
Successful applicants will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to pupils at Rivertree Free School — a nurturing, inclusive environment for children with autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex medical needs, and severe learning difficulties. All pupils have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), and the Class Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering personalised, engaging lessons that support each pupil’s individual needs and development.
Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals, the Class Teacher will create a safe, supportive, and inspiring classroom where every child can access the curriculum, build essential skills, and thrive.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential, along with experience of working with children or young people with special educational needs. A strong understanding of inclusive practices and a commitment to child-centred learning are key.
