Welcome to Rivertree Free School who are part of the Bedford Inclusive and Training Learning Trust. We are a provision which caters from Early Years to Post 16 for pupils with profound, multiple, or complex learning difficulties as well as pupils with autism or communication difficulties.

At Rivertree Free School we ensure that pupils study a broad and balanced curriculum and are supported to access the curriculum. We have a relentless approach to ensure that individual needs are met and each pupil has high aspirations. We ensure that students are safe, happy, respectful, motivated and are equipped with the key skills, so they can lead a fulfilling life. Our school has a dedicated and skilled staff team who are committed to providing a stimulating positive learning environment for all our students. We aim to develop the multitude of skills our pupils have, enable them to explore their talents and to prepare them for lifelong learning and their future lives.

 Our curriculum is personalised and is divided into different pathways to ensure each pupil receives the curriculum best suited to their needs. Staff provide learning opportunities to ensure pupils achieve highly, develop their skills and personalities to enable them to become the best they can be. We aim for each pupil to; become as independent as possible, develop effective means of communication, build self-esteem and confidence and form positive relationships with others.

 The brand-new facilities at Rivertree Free School include a hydrotherapy pool, interactive sensory rooms, dedicated ICT facilities, Forest School areas and life skills rooms. Pupils are encouraged to experience, think, explore and participate in the world around them. Our wide range of specialist resources and facilities ensures that appropriate support and guidance is available for all pupils across the curriculum and age range.
