About this Role

Bedford Inclusive Learning and Training Trust (BILTT) is excited to announce the opening of our newly built, state-of-the-art facility - Rivertree Free School, in February 2025. This school will join the others in our trust providing education to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. Our Academies, supported by the Trust, provide an environment which is welcoming, nurturing, calm, safe and purposeful. BILTT’s vision is to continue to develop a high performing SEND Multi Academy Trust that delivers the very best educational experiences for pupils regardless of their starting points.

We are looking for people who are passionate about working with children with special educational needs and can work as part of a multidisciplinary team, sharing knowledge and expertise to improve pupil outcomes.

Successful applicants will provide high-quality support to Rivertree pupils with autism, profound, medical and severe learning difficulties who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will work closely with class teachers, therapists, and the SENCo to ensure pupils can access the curriculum, engage in learning activities, and develop essential skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Level 3 teaching assistant qualification (or equivalent) is essential along with previous experience working with children with autism, profound and severe learning difficulties, or similar special educational needs.

If you feel you have the experience and personal qualities we are looking for and would like to be part of helping us to set up and run our fabulous new school, please apply via mynewterm.
