About this Role

Burrowmoor Primary Academy Nursery is a warm, nurturing and inclusive Early Years setting dedicated to providing engaging, high-quality learning experiences for young children. The Role

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join our team on a permanent basis.

You will:

  • Teach children aged 3–4 within our nursery provision
  • Support practitioners teaching in the 2-year-old pre-nursery setting
  • Work closely with the Assistant Head/EYFS Lead, SENDCO, and Headteacher
  • Uphold and promote the aims and ethos of Burrowmoor Primary Academy Nursery
  • ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply, and full training and mentoring will be provide

Job Purpose

  • To promote and progress the wellbeing of pupils in the school in line with the EYFS statutory Framework.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning and Curriculum
  • You will work with staff to prepare plans that meet EYFS Framework requirements and complete timetables that reflect a balanced and engaging curriculum. You will teach effectively through class, group and individual methods to meet the needs of all children.

·       Assessment and Progress

  • You will maintain accurate attainment and achievement records and analyse progress data as part of the termly assessment cycle, taking appropriate action where needed.

·       Communication & Relationships

  • You will be available for both formal and informal consultations with parents and will foster positive relationships with parents/carers, children, colleagues and other professionals.

·       Environment & Behaviour

  • You will promote the school’s aims, ethos and philosophy and encourage and support children in line with school policies. You will maintain a stimulating, purposeful and well-organised learning environment indoors and outdoors

·       Collaboration & Inclusion

  • You will provide support and guidance to colleagues when required and work with the SENDCO to implement provision advised by professionals and services

·       Health, Safety & Safeguarding

  • You will maintain high standards of health, safety and welfare for children and staff and ensure that all children are safe at all times

·       Resource Management

  • You will take responsibility for designated areas of resource management and allocate resources and equipment as necessary
