About Burrowmoor Primary Academy
Burrowmoor Primary Academy is a town school, based in the
busy and vibrant Fenland town of March.
Our families, children and staff are all proud to be part of the school
and we have seen such positive progress in these attitudes since November 2023
when the Diamond Learning Partnership Trust took over the school. We support our staff through many training
and development opportunities which ensure that our teachers and other staff
continuously improve and develop their practice.
We have a Nursery which takes children from 2 years old and
the school then provides an exciting education up to Year 6. Our grounds are extensive with two large well
resourced playgrounds and a substantial field where we play throughout the
drier months. We have a newly introduced
Buddy system so the children get a chance to play and get to know children from
every year group. We have trained play
leaders and every child has been provided with a skipping rope to take home and
one in school as we are now a skipping school.
Our Forest school area is used extensively and our Orchestra is another
feature that we are incredibly proud of.
Learning for life is at the centre of our values and our
school rules encourage us to Be Ready, Be Responsible and Be Safe. Our curriculum is sequential and relies on building up of skills and knowledge as we go through our school journey. Once a year we have an Our World week – we
learn how we need to save our planet, what we can do as a school community. Our school dog, Pippin, visits school regularly
to work with and support children.
We have good links with external agencies both in March and beyond as part of the Diamond Learning Partnership Trust, a charitable multi-academy trust, founded in 2012 who are extremely proud of the success of their pupils and staff and work hard to achieve the highest level of support, teaching and resources in an outstanding environment.
