St Louis Catholic Primary School, part of the Dunstan Catholic Educational Trust is seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant to join the school, as soon as possible. We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Administration Assistant, supporting the day-to-day running of the school office.

This is a varied and busy role where you’ll be involved in everything from welcoming visitors and managing phone calls, to supporting pupil records, school communications, and helping with events and activities. You’ll work closely with the School Business Manager, Executive Headteacher, Head of School and wider school team to ensure things run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Be a friendly and professional first point of contact at reception – answering calls, greeting visitors, and assisting with queries

Support pupil attendance recording and data updates using school systems

Assist with parent communications, consent forms, and general queries

Help with bookings and admin for clubs, trips, music tuition, and school events

Liaise with catering teams and manage lunch bookings and payments

Monitor and order supplies including stationery, first aid, and refreshments

Provide general admin support including photocopying, filing, typing letters, and updating communication platforms

Support with record keeping, cash handling, and maintaining confidentiality

Assist with new staff setup, ID badges, and policy documentation

Provide minor first aid (if trained) and minute meetings when needed

What We’re Looking For:

Has strong admin skills and attention to detail

Is confident using Microsoft Office and school systems (e.g. SIMS, online payment platforms)

Communicates clearly and warmly with staff, parents, and visitors

Can manage multiple tasks and stay calm in a busy environment

Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding

Is flexible, reliable, and enjoys being part of a supportive team

Has a cheerful, professional manner and a smart appearance

Is willing to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and Trust

What we can offer you:

Engaged and enthusiastic pupils who are 'proud to belong' to our school and enjoy learning in a stimulating environment.

A forward thinking, proactive Trust that is dedicated to the success of its pupils and staff.

A dynamic and collaborative team of leadership who are dedicated and committed to the success of pupils and staff alike.

We welcome and encourage visits from prospective applicants. Please contact the School Office Team on 01373 463728 or send an email to office@sl.thedcet.com to arrange a visit.
