About this Role

Playworker 

Woodchurch Road Academy is seeking a Playworker for the Treehouse Wraparound Club from September 2026. 

Role Overview

As a Playworker, you will play a key role in shaping a fun, engaging, and safe environment for children after school. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something new and make real difference in the school community from day one. 

The role is term time only (38 weeks), working 16 hours per week: 3.00pm-6.15pm Monday to Thursday, and 3.00pm-6.00pm on Fridays. 

The school is open to considering a job share arrangement, allowing the hours to be split between two employees. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a range of stimulating, inclusive, and age-appropriate activities for children aged 4-11.
  • Ensure a safe, caring and welcoming environment. 
  • Prepare and serve healthy snacks in line with food hygiene standards.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and club policies and procedures at all times. 
  • Assist with daily set up and tidy-up of lay spaces and resources.
  • Contribute to a positive team ethos and support the development of the club as it grows.
