Cromwell High School is seeking an exceptional Teacher / Designated Teacher and Assessment Co-ordinator to join our dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity to combine excellent classroom practice with strategic leadership, supporting children in care and previously looked after children while helping to develop and strengthen our whole-school assessment systems.

About the Role

As part of this exciting role, you will:

  • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning, ensuring every pupil reaches their full potential.
  • Act as the school's Designated Teacher for children in care and previously looked after children, leading Personal Education Plans (PEPs) and working closely with families and external agencies.
  • Support the development, monitoring and analysis of assessment across the school, helping colleagues use assessment effectively to improve outcomes.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for every learner.
  • Has experience of supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.
  • Can build strong relationships with pupils, families, colleagues and external professionals.
  • Has excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion and continuous professional development.
  • Has experience of leading or contributing to school improvement and working collaboratively with colleagues.
