Message From the Headteacher
I am proud and privileged to be the Headteacher at Cromwell High School; a special school based in Dukinfield in Tameside for children and young people from 11 -19. The school caters for children with severe and complex autism (ASC), severe and complex learning difficulties (SLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Following Year 11 transition the young people are able to continue their education into our sixth form until the end of Year 14.
Cromwell joined the Kingfisher Learning Trust in April 2024. As a values led Trust we feel this is a partnership that aligns with the vision and values of our school. The Trust’s vision of “Endless Possibilities” reflects the experience we aim to deliver on a daily basis to the children and young people at Cromwell.
The curriculum and learning environment are designed to meet the particular needs of all the children and young people and we are constantly striving to further develop and improve our high-quality offer reflecting current research and best practice. An individualised approach to each pupil’s learning, based on the needs identified within their Education, Health and Care Plan enables holistic progress to be made and prepares them over time for transition from childhood into adulthood.
